We are a closed credit union.
That means that our field of membership is limited to:
- Employees of the Department of Justice who work in Leavenworth and the Greater Kansas City area (which includes the U.S. Penitentiary, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U. S. Marshals Service, U. S. Parole Commission, Office of Tribal Justice, and many other divisions of the Department of Justice and North Central Regional Office).
- Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment.
- Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants who reside within the operational area of this credit union.
- Unremarried spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of the credit union.
- Employees of this credit union.
- Immediate family members. (Our membership will not be available to any family members who are confined to a correctional facility.)
- Employees of the Department of Justice, United States Penitentiary Canaan who work in Waymart, Pennsylvania.
- Officers and staff of the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office who work in Leavenworth, KS.
- Officers and staff of the Leavenworth Police Department who work in Leavenworth, KS
Above forms need to be printed, filled out and mailed
back to the credit union with $25.00 (do not mail cash)
to open your membership.

Joining is easy. You can either stop by our office to open the account in person or fill out or submit the application by mail along with a copy of your driver's license. Your initial deposit of $25.00 will open your share account and qualify your for all the advantages that membership in USPLK Employees Federal Credit Union has to offer.
Our accounts are insured up to $250,000, by NCUA, a U.S. Government Agency. We have been in business since 1941.
